We were founded by Benjamin Checkley & began training and playing in 2024 at King George Rec in Felpham, right on the edge of Bognor Regis. Only a year later, we stepped into the BBF Single-A league, finishing 3rd in our region and reaching the Playoffs—a huge milestone for such a young club. Today, we stand proudly as the only baseball club in West Sussex and one of just three in the whole of Sussex.
Who We Are......
Established in 2023, we are a small, community-run baseball club operating as a Community Interest Company, proudly based in the West Sussex town of Bognor Regis.
Our journey began in April 2024 with just five people attending our first training sessions. Thanks to growing local interest and a shared passion for the game, our numbers quickly increased throughout the year—and the Bognor Regis Cobras were born.
In 2025, we entered the Single-A division of the British Baseball Federation League. In our very first competitive season, we finished third in our division, securing a place in the playoffs—an incredible achievement for such a young club.
Today, we continue to grow both on and off the field, driven by community spirit, inclusivity, and a love of baseball. Whether you’re an experienced player or completely new to the sport, we welcome everyone who wants to be part of the Cobras. In the 2026, the team has elected to become more competitive and compete in Division 4 (Previously known as Double A).
